Meet The Team
Mr Raymond Fung is the founder and Managing Director of Bayswater Consulting Group.
Raymond has an extensive experience in Accounting & Taxation, Business Advisory, Risk & Compliance and Fund Operations.
Prior to setting up Bayswater Consulting Group, he was a team manager handling institutional investment funds compliance and trustee operations for Citibank. He was also a finance lead in a governmental ministry and an auditor in a Singapore audit firm.
Raymond served as a non-executive director for various private companies. He is also the advisor and director to various international non-profit organization set up by the Oil and Gas Safety Council and medical associations. He is currently the honorary chairman for Global Chinese Societies Exchange Association.
Raymond has a Master of Business Administration from Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, and a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
Ms Margeret Khoo is currently the director of Bayswater Consulting Group.
Margeret oversees Bayswater’s accounting & tax services and corporate services.
Prior to Bayswater, she held various positions in international insurance companies and multinational corporations, such as AON, Direct Asia, Tokio Marine Singapore, Chubb Insurance and Marsh & Mclennan. She started out in her career as an financial auditor with Pricewater-houseCoopers, Singapore.
Margeret has a attained a honours degree in accounting from of Nanyang Technolohical University of Singapore, and is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants
Mr Alvin Leong is the Director of Bayswater Consulting Group overseeing the marketing and prospecting of project financing.
Alvin started his first career in the insurance industry since 1995 as an insurance agent and move into management in 1999. He was a Financial Services Director, running a mega organisation with more than 500 consultants with TOT, COT and MDRT producers till 2007 before moving into IFA (Independent Financial Advisors). During the time in the financial industry,
Alvin also serve as the Vice President in IFPAS (Insurance and Financial Practitioner Association of Singapore) in 2007-2008. As a practitioner, Alvin specialise in Personal Wealth Management, providing personal financial planning services and asset allocation for selected clients, and Business Insurance, providing business contingency planning to business owner.
With the experience in handling retail, corporate and institutional investors, Alvin continue to learn and understand the ever changing wealth management market and look forwards to create an holistic platform into Asia for all level of investors.
Mr Darren Tan is the Director of Bayswater Consulting Group overseeing the business development of the business.
In year 2007, Darren started his business venture in Marketing. Within a period of 4 years, he clocked a total revenue of S$8.9 million.
With his years of experience in business consulting, marketing, financing and business development. He holds a proven track record of raising tens of millions for investment and businesses.
Graduating from the University of London with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance, Darren is also the founding partner for multiple companies in various industry over the years.
He was awarded “2010 Successful Entrepreneur” (Platinum Category), “2011 SME1 Asia Awards (Emerging Award) in which he was featured in Global Business Magazine, Channel News Asia and Phoenix Satellite TV interviews.
THE PANEL OF ADVISERS
Mr Raymond Cheung is the Chief Risk Adviser overseeing the risk and compliance aspect of the group.
Raymond brings around 15 years of consulting and corporate experience in the insurance industry. He focuses on advisory and trainings for financial institutions in enterprise risk management (ERM), actuarial risk based capital framework and corporate governance in Asia.
His core expertise includes ERM framework and Own Risk & Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process implementation, actuarial pricing and reserving, capital modelling, credit rating advisory, business strategy development, as well as compliant and regulatory development in Asia. He was previously the Chief Risk Officer for AIG Asia Pacific and a regional reinsurer, before he started his consulting business in 2014.
Raymond is actively involved in the Singapore Actuarial Society, holding the appointments of Honorary Secretary, Chairman of ERM Committee, Chairman of Risk-Based Capital 2 (RBC2) Taskforce and Chairman of the ORSA Working Party.
He is a lecturer for Risk Management, for the Insurance Management Associate Programme (IMAP) Advanced Diploma and the ASEAN School for Young Insurance Managers (AYIM) programme, both accredited under the Singapore College of Insurance.
Mr Kennedy Chen is a legal practitioner of Eversheds Harry Elias LLP with close to 10 years' experience. He is a corporate transactions and commercial legal practitioner. His practice broadly covers transactions and commercial legal advisory matters. Particularly, this spans cross border M&A and joint ventures, solvent/insolvent restructuring, capital/debt equity markets, banking finance, private-public partnerships, post-merger integration and company law advisory matters (including external supplier/customer commercial relationships, internal regulatory compliance / governance and pre-litigation (contentious advice).
Fully proficient in spoken and written English and Mandarin (including Business Mandarin), professionally conversant in Min Chinese, Cantonese, Thai and Bahasa Indonesia, Kennedy has worked alongside contemporaries and served stakeholders from Singapore, the US, the UK, Europe, Greater China, Japan, Myanmar, Indonesia, and other Asia-Pacific and international jurisdictions keen to develop a myriad of business, investment and commercial relations.
Kennedy constantly tries his best to add value to all that he does. He possesses requisite legal knowledge, deal exposure and corporate advisory experience, global perspectives and cultural-sensitivity that engage him with all. These enabling factors culminate in consistent delivery of practical, creative client-centric solutions to adequately and fruitfully address legal/commercial realities and limitations, interests, risks and concerns for all engagements.
Prior to his present position, Kennedy had practised at a top Singapore law firm and a leading US law firm, after graduating with top honours at the National University of Singapore.
